Guarantee and Contract
I guarantee that every puppy is healthy when it leaves here. If you take your puppy to the vet within 10 days after you pick up the puppy, and the vet finds any unforeseen life threatening problems, we will allow you to pick out a different puppy, as available. A letter from the veterinarian is required stating why the puppy is unsuitable for sale. Parasites and hypoglycimia are not covered by this guarantee, all puppies have been wormed but may need to be treated again. Hypoglycimia is preventable and in your control, please read the sales pack information thoroughly and completely.
The guarantee covers life threatening congenital defects for the life of the dog. All puppies or dogs sold by Kissyfur Kennel are pet quality only. I do not raise pups to be sold as breeders.
To the best of the breeder’s knowledge, this puppy/dog is free of disease and defects at the date of this sale. Any estimated grown weight under 6 months is only my best guess and final adult weight and size cannot be guaranteed.
Our puppies & dogs have not been exposed to infectious diseases here. If your puppy is exposed to an infectious disease after it leaves here, this is not covered under the health guarantee. Please pay particular attention to this if you have recently lost a dog or puppy! Infectious diseases are not covered by our health guarantee, as we have no control over what the puppy is exposed to after it leaves our home.
We also cannot guarantee that your puppy will never develop any health problems. Some things are just not able to be predicted. Our parents are free of diseases, disorders, and health problems or we would not breed them. That means the puppies are less likely to develop problems. However, it does not guarantee they will never develop a problem.
We encourage EVERY buyer to make an appointment with the vet. We also encourage everyone to set up a regular veterinarian care schedule and make sure you keep up with the puppy shots. Have your pet checked regularly for heart worms. Use a good de-wormer that is recommended by your vet on a regular basis. Flea collars do not work, so don't waste your money, ask your vet what he or she recommends.
Please Be aware that vaccinations sometimes fail for various reasons, and a dog does not develop full immunity to some diseases until they are a full year old, and have had all their puppy shots, including a booster at the age of 1 year. If you are not willing or able to make sure that your puppy gets ALL of his scheduled vaccines and boosters, please do not purchase a puppy. The ideal method of guarding your new puppy against illnesses is to keep it away from other puppies who have not had vaccines, any dog who is ill, until your puppy is at least a year old and has his/her final booster.
Being informed is a good alternative, and a strict adherence to all vaccination schedules and a veterinary program is a must. There are many illnesses that can affect dogs. Puppies under a year old are especially vulnerable to a few diseases. If you keep yourself informed, you can avoid health problems and illnesses in your puppy.
We have our own vaccination program, and most puppy shots are given on the premises.
When you buy a puppy, you will receive a shot record, with dates, ages, and even the labels from the vaccination bottles. You can put future shots, and vet information inside the envelope and keep it for future reference. ALWAYS, take the envelope with you to the vet's office. That way, he will know the vaccines, wormer's, etc, that your pet has already had and will not inadvertently give him something the puppy does not need.
Please read this page very carefully. If you buy a puppy, you will be required to sign this statement saying that you have read it, understand it, and agree to make sure your puppy has all required vaccinations, health checkups, etc...
If the puppy is not examined by a veterinarian with in 10 days all guarantees become null and void.

This sales contract is made between Deborah Haugan (seller) and the buyer whose name, address, telephone number, email address, and signature appear at the bottom of this sales contract and do hereby obligate the buyer and seller to the terms of this contract when signed by both parties. The seller agrees to sell, and hereby does sell, and has contracted to the buyer a dog of the description below:

The puppy being sold as stated above is guaranteed to be in sound body and good health, free from communicable disease as far as appears to the eye. Buyer agrees that this puppy will become a member of the family to assure proper development and maintenance of the dogs temperament. Buyer also agrees that this puppy was meant to be an inside dog and will not be left to live outside as this was not the intentions for this breed of dog. Buyer agrees Seller will repossess the puppy if any evidence of neglect or abuse is ever found. Buyer will be responsible for all fees incurred in a repossession of the puppy/dog in such case. This will include travel expenses and any vet bills that ensue. A 72 hour warranty against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, adenovirus 2, PARVO virus, and corona virus applies to this dog. Also, lifetime warranty against life threatening genetic defects including eyes, heart, liver, and lungs is given in this guarantee. Hypoglycemia is not covered, though it is a serious health concern, as it is the Buyers job to maintain proper nutrition and be sure pup is eating properly. Make sure you see the dog eat food about every 3 hours or at least twice a day. If you are crating your puppy at night give NutraCal before putting the puppy to bed. Leave food out at all times for your puppy to find it and don’t take for granted he is eating, be positive he is eating. Coccidia, giardia and worms are not serious health problems if treated and are not covered by this warranty. Luxated patella and hernia are also not serious health problems if treated and are not covered under this warranty. If the dog must be returned another dog of equal value will be given as replacement as soon as one becomes available. If buyer elects to keep the dog with a warranted defect then seller will credit the buyer the amount up to and only for a PET of their color category toward any future purchase of another dog at any time from this Seller. All pet puppies must be spayed or neutered. Any and all vet bills acquired by the buyer are solely the buyers responsibility. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
In the event the buyer needs to find a new home for the puppy/dog covered in this contract the Seller must IMMEDIATELY be notified. Puppy MUST be returned to Seller if a suitable new home can't be found. Full ownership transfers back to seller and AKC registration or any other registrations will be transferred back to Seller. Seller must be notified of complete name and contact information of which the dog/puppy will be going to and must be able to make contact with the new owner. Buyer agrees not to place this animal in an animal shelter, research facility, pet store, puppy mill, humane society, dog pound or in the care of a broker for any reason.
A health check by your veterinarian must be done within 10 days of receiving the dog. Veterinary expenses are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Buyer is also responsible for the costs, associated with the vet check. If for any reason this puppy should die, it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to supply a copy of a written necropsy preformed by a licensed vet, at buyers expense, before any determination can be given. And only on these terms will a replacement puppy of equal value be given. NO CASH REFUNDS for any reason will be given. Only a replacement puppy will be given. Buyer and seller agree that the point of sale origin is Campbell County, Virginia, USA. This will be the county in which legal activities will be presented and carried out if the need shall arise.
Seller would like the Buyer to maintain contact (either via phone, email, or postal mail) throughout the life of the puppy being sold. We care very much about our fur kids and want to know how they are doing and be assured we have placed them in loving FOREVER homes.
No other warranties not explained in this contract, either express or implied, exists between the Buyer and the Seller of this dog.
